Flexible Deployment

Azure Stack HCI works on over 150 hardware configurations.

Azure Stack HCI has a diversity of deployment options. If you’re looking for minimum cost, you can likely use existing hardware depending on it’s generation. If you’re looking to buy new equipment, you’ll have over 150 validated solutions to choose from. You can also customize nearly all the solutions by varying the processor, memory, storage, and network speed.

Accommodate the needs of your business, whatever the size, with validated node solutions. Maximize outcomes when you run Azure Stack HCI on new hardware.
Get the best performance with integrated system solutions that are pre-wired, pre-racked and pre-configured. Support Azure Stack HCI with existing or repurposed hardware that meets Azure Stack HCI-validated node requirements.

A variety of solutions

Nodes are available with Intel NVME flash storage and Intel Optane persistent memory for extremely high performance.
With the variety of validated node solutions comes a wide range of cores, from 4 cores for ROBO to 28 cores per socket for large datacenters.
The newest QLC flash NVMe storage offerings provide high-performance large storage when paired with Intel Optane caching tier.

Functional Advantage of Azure HCI Stack over Azure:

internet-connection (1)

Network

  • Internet connection speed limitation.
  • QOS on connection speed within and
    outside of Azure.
  • Internet uptime, which is normally good,
    still being a limitation.
  • vehicle

    I/O

The data transfer speeds would be only limited by IOPS capability of the hardware, which is not the case with native Azure.
    building

    More Enterprise ready.

Local, core infra is a must for any IT to function independently, which demands AD in Azure HCI Stack/Private Cloud/Stand Alone Server Vs Azure AD where the working is not seamless.
Imagine a firewall sitting locally doing an AAA on an Azure AD.
On the same lines the following benefit greatly from local AD.

  • DNS/DHCP
  • Desktops
  • Laptops
  • Print Server
  • The below IT assets usually have a lesser update frequency and a larger attack area/probability when exposed, adding one more reason to have AD in the local.

  • Printer
  • IP Phone
  • NVR
  • Door Access
  • Mobile Devices
  • POS Machines.
  • connection

    Backup

Setting backup is seamless and way simpler, faster and effective.

    Recovery

The hardware being localized, we can exercise more recovery options, which is not the case with native cloud.

    Privacy requirements

Privacy requirements legal or otherwise could be easily serviced, as the data residence could be assured.
